All of the positives emanating from the company, along with the recent strong surge in mechanical watch interest, in general, have caused a quandary. A small team in Scotland dedicates a lot of energy to make watches. They are Anordain. Known for their hand-made enamel dials, there is much more to their watches than just the dials. The Model 2 comes with plain enamel dials, like on the Model 1 but with different colors or with “fumé” dials. It’s these that made me pull the trigger. The watches are also backed by a 5-year warranty with in-house servicing by anOrdain. The anOrdain Model 1 Precious Metal series are made in a numbered batch of 50 each. Priced at $1,250, the watches come mounted to German-made straps, and are protected by gorgeous German-made suede travel cases. The Model 2, the second watch line, is a testament to anOrdain's unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries. Launched in 2020, it features a sophisticated sub-seconds dial, a first for the brand.
