I saw Mike's Pastry boxes near Harvard and looked them up. Went to North End searing for good old fashioned desserts. Third place was Mike's. Super long line but wanted to try. So many flavors to choose from, plus other desserts. Patiently waited and got chocolate chip and expresso cannolis. They are huge and $6. Good value. Tasty compared to Bova. Mike's pastry famous cannoli with ricotta is the best of a 3 ship taste test (RP, MoP, MiP). Highlight is the rich ricotta cream unique to Mike's, more pronounced than others we tasted. The florentine cannoli is outstanding! The pastry was massive and definitely a good bang for your buck. It wasn't too sweet, but it was a bit heavy--perhaps better split among two. The tiramisu was very soft, and the ladyfingers were completely soaked in coffee. So yummy! Note: this place accepts card! I believe the Mike's Pastry in North End only accepts cash.
